Lighting / Glass Manufacturing

Red Seal is a major supplier of insulation to glass handling and glass equipment manufacturing sector. You will find Red Seal insulation in much of the equipment designed to manufacture flat panel displays. All of the materials included in this section have impressive thermal properties. The categories of materials include Calcium Silica sheets and shapes and unique materials such as DuPont Vespel that handles high temperatures but also exhibits low friction properties and will not scratch glass. Another material of note is Johns Manville’s Firetemp SFL, an inorganic, incombustible material composed primarily of lime, silica and reinforcing fibers; it has wide application in the lighting and glass manufacturing industry. Angle, Other Angle Red Seal distributes and fabricates a wide variety of phenolic grade structural angle and channel.

Cogetherm M Sheet Manufactured from a paper comprising flakes of muscovite mica, which is impregnated with resin and agglomerated to form a laminate.
Cogetherm P Sheet Manufactured from a paper comprising flakes of phlogopite mica, which is impregnated with resin and agglomerated to form a laminate.
CS85 Sheet A high temperature replacement for asbestos transite. It offers high strength and electrical resistance combined with minimal shrinkage for applications up to and exceeding 1800º F.
Duraboard Sheet Ceramic fiberboard.
Extren Fiberglass structural shapes and plate.
Glastherm HT200 Sheet A thermal insulating sheet with superior strength and heat resistance for applications with continuous use temperatures up to 550º F.
Glastherm S Sheet A general purpose insulating sheet with an economical combination of thermal and physical properties.
GPO-1 Sheet A fiberglass-reinforced general purpose laminate.
GPO-2 Sheet A high strength, flame resistant, fiberglass-reinforced laminate.
GPO-3 Sheet A mineral filled, continuous strand fiberglass-mat-reinforced thermoset unsaturated polyester material.
H91 Sheet Designed for use at high temperature, while retaining strength and integrity over years of mechanical and thermal abuse.
HST II Sheet A high temperature polyester laminate that exhibits excellent retention of electrical and mechanical properties at elevated temperatures.
Isomag 175 Sheet Phosphate bonded forsterite board, 96lb density, 1800°F.
Isoplan 750 Isoplan is composed of special ceramic and mineral fibers.
Marinite A Sheet A strong, machinable, non-asbestos, inorganic board insulation for conveying, containing, handling and forming molten aluminum and other non-ferrous metals.
Marinite C Sheet Similar in properties to Marinite A.
Marinite I Sheet A non-asbestos, incombustible material manufactured in panel form. Designed to combine structural strength and high thermal insulating values.
Marinite M Sheet A non-asbestos, incombustible material manufactured in panel form. Designed to combine structural strength and high thermal insulating values.
Marinite P Sheet A non-asbestos, incombustible self-supporting board that provides high insulating values, fire safety and exceptionally high compressive strength.
MB-2200-FS Sheet A mineral filled, continuous strand fiberglass-mat-reinforced thermoset unsaturated polyester material.

Nad-11 Sheet A glass-mica-quartz cement board, non-asbestos, with comparable properties as the asbestos cement-type, non-combustible boards.

Super Firetemp L Sheet Super Firetemp L is an inorganic, high temperature insulation and passive fire protection barrier. It can be used as insulation in ovens, processing equipment, pipe supports, precipitators, and other high temperature applications.
Super Firetemp M Sheet An inorganic, incombustible material composed primarily of lime, silica and reinforcing fibers.
