Marinite A is a strong, machinable, non-asbestos, inorganic board insulation for conveying, containing, handling, and forming molten aluminum and other non-ferrous metals.

Marinite boards are heat treated formulations for use in conveying, containing and forming molten aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. Applications include holding furnace linings, tips for continuous casters, transition plates, rings, plugs, baffles, troughs, spouts, floats and filter boxes.

Marinite A Advantages:

  • These unique thermal insulating sheets have many advantages—metals do not adhere to it, even when they cool and solidify.

  • It requires no foundry facing wash and will not lead to contamination of the metals. Molten metals convey with less heat loss, at a more uniform temperature and therefore can be handled at a lower temperature.

Marinite A Applications:

  • Potential applications for Marinite A include floats, spouts, stopper pins, distribution boxes, dams, baffles, filter boxes, troughs, and head boxes.

  • Marinite A is perfect for industrial oven insulation, press platen insulation, glass manufacturing, kiln insulation, high temp insulation, induction furnaces, crucible insulation, molten aluminum insulation, bushings, washers, spacers, covers, and tops.
