Linen fabric (fine weave) impregnated with phenolic resin.

NEMA LE is a fine-weave linen fabric impregnated with phenolic resin. It is suitable for electrical applications in moderate humidity conditions. NIMA LE meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-I-24768/13 and ASTM F2953-12 Type FB.

NEMA LE is used where better machining is needed compared to that offered by canvas grades This product consists of a fine-weave linen fabric and electrical grade of phenolic resin. Besides easy machining, NIMA LE operates with less noise than metal. In addition, this physical material is not as abrasive as fiberglass alternatives when used in wear applications. Since it does not spark when struck, NIMA LE can be used in explosion-proof environments. Suitable for small and more intricate shapes.

NEMA LE Advantages:

  • Stronger than canvas grade and better machinability for more intricate parts. Grade LE provides superior moisture resistance, dissipation factor and other electrical properties.

NEMA LE Applications:

  • Fine tooth gears

  • Pulleys, rollers and guides

  • Terminal bases

  • Radio parts
