SG-70 is a non-asbestos structural ceramic refractory reinforced with continuous fibers to increase the toughness, reliability and overall performance of the ceramic composite.

SG-70 Advantages:

  • SG-70 exhibits non-brittle behavior and can withstand extreme thermal shock and cycling within its specified temperature range. It is chemically inert and is unaffected by moisture.

SG-70 Physical Properties:

  • Size - 48" X 48" sheet in thicknesses from 1/8" to 2" (Rod available upon request)

  • Operating Temp - 2300º F

  • Compressive Strength - 13050 psi

  • Dielectric Strength - 91 V/mil

  • Thermal Conductivity (btu in/hr/º F/sq ft) - 4.20 @ 400º F 4.41 @ 800º F 4.69 @ 1200º F 4.90 @ 1825º F
